This podcast is not dead!
It's just sleeping... Thanks to everyone who has left a concerned comment or sent me an email. My intention was to podcast a short message this weekend to say this, but now I'm not sure that I will have a chance. My wife has gotten very sick again, so I'm taking care of her and our (nearly) seven month old baby. So in brief here are a few updates of what has been going on with the Emery family:
The biggest change has been adapting to having a baby in the house. I love it, but it takes a lot of time. I haven't quite figured out the best way to get writing done. The truth is that I have felt a certain sense of shame about not having new fiction written and a new episode out, so I have been avoiding even checking my Brief Glimpses email. I kept telling myself that I was waiting to reply to my friend's questions until I finished a new episode. But that just hasn't worked out yet. I apologize to everyone for not updating you all sooner. So what's next? Shifters will be back! I have outlines for the rest of the story and a small amount of the next episode written. This podcast will continue! I hope to put out a small episode soon with a little bite-sized fiction scene. Thanks to everyone for their concern! Have a wonderful holiday season! I will leave you with a little picture I like to call Zoe Wan Kenobi...
Happy Holidays Everyone!

This is a re-release of episode #25. I have tried to increase the volume of the vocals in Shifters Part I. The intro section is still a little too quiet, but I raised it as much as I could. Thanks to everyone who has given me feedback so far. A special thanks goes out to Evo Terra of the Dragonpage for his kind words and suggestions.

Greetings All!
I just wanted to let everyone that checks this site know that I am about two thirds of the way through with part one of a new science fiction story. I am taking my time with this one, because I want it to be good. I feel like the bar has been raised for podcast fiction over the last few months, and I figured that it was more important for me to take the time to write and produce a good story rather than to try to get something out quickly. There are enough good podcasts out there now, that you don't necessarily need them all to have a new episode every week. That's all for now. Cheers! -Daniel Emery

Well, since some of you (or perhaps most of you) did not recieve the file at all (and therefore had "no problems" with it) I am re-releasing it here. You will find Part II of this story in the previous episode. Special thanks to Evo Terra from www.dragonpage.com for making me aware of the nature of the problem. :-) Music links: |

Thanks to all of you that sent feedback after the last show. I did get the technical issues solved.
However, I had to stop in the middle of recording last night because of a family health issue that came via a phone call from a relative.
I know you all understand. Hopefully, I will get a chance to record Part II of Legacies in the next day or two.
Thanks for your patience...

I got so caught up in the technical issues that I had trying to render, upload, and post this episode that I forgot to tell you a couple of really important things.
First: there are swear words in the original Fiction (Legacies Part I). Sorry for the late warning. Second: My lovely wife Keely Emery is reading for one of the female characters in this story.
